Vetoquinol is committed to protecting the confidential nature of its customers personal information. This policy is intended to inform the customer of its information gathering procedures, the use which will be made of it, as well as providing any other information regarding the protection of said information. This policy applies to all information that could be gathered by Vetoquinol regarding its customers. Vetoquinol encourages the client to take note of this confidentiality policy.
Vetoquinol receives customer information and creates a file relating thereto in order to allow its customers to benefit from promotional offers and improve the quality of the services provided to them. Said information is specifically gathered once the customer enrolls in the Vetoquinol Club on Vetoquinol’s website or by filling out a registration form to that effect. Other information is also gathered during requests for information, when the client participates in a contest or a promotional activity and when the client visits Vetoquinol’s website.
Said information will be used for the following reasons:
To allow members to benefit from certain promotions;
To allow customers to enroll in the Vetoquinol Club Fidelity Program;
To transfer communications to the customer regarding diverse promotions, information bulletins, etc.;
To improve Vetoquinol’s provision of products that are adapted according to the needs of clientele; and
To improve the channels of communication between Vetoquinol’s and its customers.
Vetoquinol strictly uses customer information for the purposes for which it was gathered and with the consent of the client. This information will never be transferred to third parties, without client consent, for promotional reasons or for reasons other than those provided for in the legislation in force. Vetoquinol conforms with the Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector and to all laws applicable to matters of confidentiality.
Vetoquinol retains personal information within the longer of the reasonable period to attain the objectives established for the gathering of the information and the delays provided for in applicable legislation. Following this delay, or following the client’s request, Vetoquinol will destroy all information that has become obsolete. Only Vetoquinol employees that require accessing information in order to offer a service to a customer has access to said information. If information gathered is communicated or if its retention is outsourced outside of Quebec, Vetoquinol will take the appropriate measures in order to ensure that the information will not be used for purposes irrelevant to the file.
Vetoquinol may use identifiers ("cookies") that provide information that is not of a personal nature. These cookies enable the gathering of information regarding the origin of an IP address when visiting a customer’s website or the time spent on each website or on each page visited. The use of these files allows Vetoquinol to constantly improve its website. The majority of browsers allow erasing such files; however, accessing sections that require registration could be affected.
Should the customer have access to Vetoquinol’s website through a third party or external website, Vetoquinol disclaims all liability for the information that was gathered by said third party or external website.
At the customer’s request, Vetoquinol undertakes to disclose all information it possesses about said customer. Furthermore, the accuracy of information detained is Vetoquinol’s priority. From time to time, Vetoquinol may update this information. This update will be carried out appropriately with respect to information gathering purposes and following a notice sent to the client to that effect. Thus, it is important that the customer informs Vetoquinol of all modifications made to the information relating to it.
At any time, members may request the disclosure or modification of its information, to cancel its membership to the Vetoquinol Club Fidelity Program, to make any comment or question and may request the destruction of its file by sending a request to that effect by any of the following methods:
